There's honestly nothing sweeter than watching your children sleep. They are so peaceful and so innocent. Truly a gift from God.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a great Valentine's. Ella absolutely had a great time. She and I put together treat bags for her friends at school. She had fun counting out the chocolate and was excited to give them all spy glasses. Of course, they had a big party at school and ate lots of sugar - but I guess that is to be expected :)

She and Mary Catherine got a Snow White movie for Valentine's so of course, Ella loved that. Nana sent her a gift box in the mail. We had a great time opening that up. She loves to play with her princess plates and Mary Catherine of course loves to dance to the singing bear. Mimi and PaPa Ace sent the girls some Valentine's books. Ella was totally excited about that and couldn't wait to read them all. Clint sent me a dozen red roses to work - sweet and unexpected. What a wonderful hubby!!

Mary Catherine 8 months

Mary Catherine turned 8 months on February 4. Sometimes I look at her and wonder where the time has gone. It seems just like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. She is wearing a size 3 diaper and is in 6-9 month clothes. She is crawling army-style and can get around to anywhere she needs to go! She doesn't think twice about pulling up to a standing position either. She loves to play at the music table while she stands up. She just thinks it is funny.

She is eating all kinds of foods - and loving it. She even tried some real green beans from the kitchen the other day. I think her favorite though are the biter bisquits. She really goes to town on those :)

She has started taking her own hand to her mouth and making the "wah wah wah" sound. I will have to capture it on video - it's just too cute. As you can see in the pictures, she loves her tongue too. I think that is her favorite pose - sticking her tongue out :)

Now, as you all know, Ella's trade mark was her "singing" while she would eat. Some sort of musical inclination, right? Well, Mary Catherine has the grooves! The child will dance to ANYTHING! She hears music and she starts rocking. The other day, she even started rocking to the vacuum cleaner. Too funny!

Adorable, funny, precious, determined, smiles..the list could go on and on. We are blessed!

Just playing around

After pulling herself up, she found a ball inside the box. She dropped it and here she is trying to pick it up. She already thinks she is grown!

She gave up on picking up the ball, so she decided to reach into the box for anothe toy. Oops...she fell in!

She didn't care - she thought it was pretty fun :)

Nothing like having your own box to play in!

Mary Catherine loves her biter bisquits. She gets it EVERYWHERE though!

Mary Catherine loves to dance. It seems like whenever she hears any kind of music, she starts dancing. Here is a video of her playing and dancing. Too cute!
